Support my 25km walk for sick kids
On Sunday 29 March, I’ll be walking 25km to support seriously ill and injured children and their families — and this will be the fourth time I’ve taken on this walk.
This year is especially meaningful because my son Ollie, who is 9, will be joining me, walking alongside us to help support families going through the unimaginable.
For families supported by Ronald McDonald House, having a place close to the hospital means everything. When a child is sick, families shouldn’t have to worry about where they’ll sleep — they should be able to focus on being together.
This charity is incredibly close to our hearts. Our family relied on Ronald McDonald House in the UK when my nephew was seriously unwell, and I have personally experienced their support here in Australia when my son Dexter was in hospital after suffering a haemorrhage and we used the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Gosford Hospital. In those moments, having a safe, supportive space close to your child makes an overwhelming situation just a little easier.
On average, it costs $190 to support a sick child and their family for one night.
Please consider supporting our 25km walk and helping keep families together when they need it most.
Together, we can show these brave kids and their families that they are not facing this journey alone.
Thank you so much for your support 💛
