    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • The walk will only be postponed if there are severe thunderstorms and we are advised the suggested route is not safe. Should this occur, all walkers will be sent an SMS the morning of the event, please ensure your contact details are up to date and current. You can do this by logging into your dashboard here.

    • Parking is limited and we strongly recommend using public transport on the day.

    • If you are feeling tired or cannot continue on, do not force yourself, take breaks when needed. Should you find yourself in an emergency, please vacate the area as safely as possible and call emergency services. We recommend you download the Emergency Plus app as this app works even when there is no mobile coverage. Emergency+ is a free application developed by Australia's emergency services and industry partners. The application works across Australia, using GPS functionality built into smartphones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services.  Location accuracy is critical information for Triple Zero (000) call takers. The quicker an accurate location is established; the sooner emergency services can be dispatched and render assistance. With the vast majority of Triple Zero (000) calls originating from mobile telephones today, the Emergency+ application is a vital Government initiative to improve public safety and emergency service response times. You can learn more here.

    • Only when it is safe to do so if you can let our team know it would be greatly appreciated. You can email us at supporting.sydney@rmhc.org.au or call the office directly on 02 9382 1622.
