Support my 25km walk for sick kids
This is a charity that is very close to home for me. My nephew Cameron was born with achondroplasia, which is the most common form of dwarfism. My brother and his family live in St John, New Brunswick, and the closest children's hospital which was equipped to provide the level of care that Cameron needed when he was a toddler is in Halifax, about a 4 hour drive away.
Throughout his multiple hospital stays, Ronald McDonald House was a place where they could rest, eat, and support each other while focusing on being there for their Cameron. The support and kindness they received helped alleviate the stress they were under during very difficult times.
On Sunday 29 March, I’m walking 25km for seriously ill and injured children and their families.
For sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.
On average, it costs $190 to support a sick child and their family for one night.
Please support my 25km walk to keep families together as they face the most difficult journey of their lives.
Together, we can show these brave kids that we’re fighting for them.
